Presidential Candidates Agricultural Policy Questionnaire Now Available
For more than 40 years, Farm Bureau has asked presidential party nominees to provide responses to issues likely to impact and affect farmers, ranchers, and rural communities over the next four years. Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have provided their answers. The 2024 questionnaire focuses on 14 topics critical to America’s farm and ranch families: food and farmer resiliency, farm policy programs, the patchwork quilt of state regulation, international trade, tax policy, agricultural labor, sustainability and climate, energy, regulatory reform, the Endangered Species Act, clean water, biotechnology, rural life and health and federal land management. The answers are presented as they were received, unedited, to give readers an unfiltered look at each candidate’s platform.
