CONCORD, NH – Richard and Ann Fabrizio of North Haverhill were honored with the New Hampshire Farm Bureau Profile Award at the organization’s Annual Meeting Friday, November 13th. The award is presented each year to recognize a New Hampshire person or persons for their distinguished service to agriculture and rural life.
The Fabrizios, who have owned and operated Windy Ridge Orchard in North Haverhill since 1967, have been consistent contributors and supporters of agriculture in the state throughout their lives. Along with growing a successful business over the last forty some years, they have also dedicated their time as youth educators. Richard served Grafton County as a 4-H educator for 28 years and Ann was a school teacher until 1998. Combining the farm with their experience and genuine love for educating, the Fabrizios have provided innumerable people with an opportunity to learn about agriculture through hosting workshops, pruning demonstrations, reading programs, and school groups.
The couple has been involved with Farm Bureau for over 20 years with Richard having served as both Director and President of Grafton County Farm Bureau and, at the state level, as NHFBF Treasurer in the past.
