- Formed in 2008, as the New Hampshire Farm Bureau Federation Educational Foundation (NHFBF-EF)is a 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to advancing the interests of agriculture and rural community life in New Hampshire through scientific and educational pursuits.
Governed by a volunteer board of directors and funded solely on contributions received through fundraising, this foundation is one of the few that has a direct application to agriculture.
- In 2010 the foundation name was changed to the New Hampshire Farm & Rural Education Foundation (NHF&REF).
- How does the foundation advance the interests of agriculture and rural community life? The ideas and direction will come to the Foundation via grant applications submitted by entities for projects which meet the goals of the Foundation. Proposals will be evaluated on a set of criteria noted in the application. Grant awards will be announced at the NHFBF annual meeting.
WELCOME

• Dedicated to advancing the interests of agriculture and rural community life!
Since our inception we have embarked on a collaborative effort with the Agricultural Science Centers of several New Hampshire High Schools with a project to enhance the educational value for students and to improve community life in New Hampshire. The project involved the raising of poultry which when of marketable size were donated to a local community food bank.
Our current campaign of $70 in 7 fundraising campaign to obtain $70,000 in 7 months of unrestricted funds to support the initial grant round scheduled for the fall of 2009. As this is the kick-off campaign of the foundation, your contribution will place you in the FOUNDERS’ SOCIETY and enhance the Foundation’s ability to further its mission. Whether as a straight contribution, bequest, gift or transfer all are tax deductible under the IRS Code.
